Fighting For Scotland’s Further Education

Colleges across Scotland need your voice now.

After years of funding cuts, our colleges are at a breaking point. Courses are closing. Jobs are disappearing. Opportunities are vanishing for thousands of students who rely on Further Education to change their lives. We can’t let this continue. Every signature, every share, and every voice counts.

Scotland Demands Education stands for access, opportunity, and fairness in Further Education. We believe that college education is not a luxury — it’s a lifeline. Across Scotland, our colleges open doors for young people, adults, and families, creating skilled workers, confident citizens, and stronger communities.

From engineering to care, from business to the creative arts, colleges are where people find their purpose and shape their futures. They are places of inclusion, second chances, and transformation — serving every age, background, and ambition.

But this lifeline is under threat. Years of funding cuts have pushed colleges to the brink, forcing course closures, job losses, and reduced access for those who need education most.

We call on the Scottish Government to protect and properly fund Further Education — ensuring fair pay for staff, sustainable resources for colleges, and real opportunities for every learner because investing in colleges means investing in people, in skills, and in the future of Scotland.
