What You Can Do
1 - Sign the petitions
The quickest thing you can do to support further education in Scotland is to sign these petitions:
Fund Our Future: Stop Cuts to Local Education (Scotland) petition - Change.org
PE2200: Provide a sustainable funding model for Scotland’s colleges - Scottish Parliament Petitions
Your name alone can make a big difference.
Adding your signature is free, is low effort, and takes no time at all. So what’s stopping you?
Make a difference, sign the petitions!
2 - Write to your local MSP
Get right to the source! Tell your local Member of the Scottish Parliament what you think about the funding cuts.
Don’t know who to write to? Don’t worry, you can easily find out.
Just by entering your postcode into either of the websites below, you will be able to find all the contact information you need to get in contact with your area’s MSPs.
3 - Spread the word
By far the easiest course of action is to spread the word.
The best way to take action is by making positive noise. We know how much Scotland’s Further Education means to us, so let’s talk about it!
Want to do more than talk? Share the petition and this website, too. The more unified we are, the louder our voices become.
The solution is within reach.
We are calling on the Scottish Government to protect and invest in Further Education — with funding that reflects the real costs of running high-quality courses, fair pay for staff, and vital student support services.
This is not just an education issue. It's a community issue. An economic Issue. A future issue.
